Our Metal Detectable Glasses Cord comfortable secure glasses safely around your neck preventing potential contamination risks. The soft silicone rubber includes a feromagnetic additive that ensures it will be detectable to most foreign body prevention systems. Stainless steel clips hold together a simple loop to fasten easily to your glasses.
FDA and EU Approved
The silicone cord has excellent resistance to ozone, oxidation, ultraviolet light, corona discharge, cosmic radiation, ionizing radiation and weathering in general. The metal parts should offer many years of service for their intended application. The product lifespan may be reduced by constant exposure to damp / salty environments.
Although not intended for food contact applications the silicone material is compliant with FDA Section 21 : CFR 177.2600 covering rubber articles intended for repeated use. The metal parts on the lanyard are made from varying and non-specified metals.
The XDetect compound includes a special formula of ferromagnetic additives that allow it to be detected by food inspection systems using metal detectors.
